MiLam consults with vegetarians from time to time, but we do not have one on staff. However, everyone on our staff loves vegetarian foods. Our simple definition of “vegetarian” is the absence on animal flesh and animal slaughter by-products. But we must stress that our understanding of vegetarianism is in no way nuanced. With regard to desserts, we do include recipes that call for ingredients such as gelatin and jelly, assuming a vegetarian will use vegetarian options.
